Thank you to all of our valued clients for their patience during this time. We have re-opened our office in accordance with Work Safe BC Protocols for In Person Counselling.
Virtual and telephone sessions will continue to be offered on an ongoing basis, but you can also book in-person sessions including Neurofeedback appointments which could not be offered virtually. To book an appointment, you can call our office at 604-770-3038, email us, or fill out the online booking form.
For In-Person Appointments Please Consider the Following Required Policies by Work Safe BC
Before Booking Your Appointment: Please Do Not Book An Appointment Without Answering the Following Questions
Do you have any of the following symptoms?
- Fever above 38 C, a new or worsening chronic cough, shortness of breath, a sore throat, a runny nose, sneezing, a headache, repeated shaking with chills, new loss of taste or smell, diarrhea, chills, muscle pain, vomiting; or
- generally not feeling well
If you answered YES to any of these questions, please do not come into the office and self-isolate immediately. We encourage you to call 811 or call your family physician for further directions. We can do a virtual or telephone session instead of seeing you in-person.
Have you returned from travel outside of BC or Canada within the last 14 days?
Have you had close contact within the last 14 days with a confirmed case of COVID-19?
Have you visited or worked in facilities or locations with recognized COVID-19 cases?
Have you had close contacts within the last 14 days with a person being tested for COVID-19?
If you answered YES to any of these questions, please self-isolate and do not come into the office and call for a virtual or telephone appointment instead.
Once Your Appointment Is Booked: Please Do Not Enter the Office Without Answering The Above Questions
If your answers to any of the above questions change between the time of booking and the time of your appointment, please call or email us and we will either cancel or change your appointment to a telephone or virtual session.
Arriving for Your Appointment: Additional Protocols & Safety Measures
Please come at your scheduled appointment time so we can social distance between clients. If you arrive before your appointment time, please stay in your car or downstairs in the lobby with 6’ of distance between you and another person. If you arrive later for your appointment, we will have to end at the time your appointment would normally end to allow time to clean and to receive the next client.
The office door will be locked between clients so we can allow for proper social distancing, so as to not have more than one client at a time in the office. The exception to this is for Neurofeedback, where clients are staggered 15-minutes apart and where they will not be in the reception area at the same time.
Please bring a face mask or a scarf, and if you don’t have one, we have limited cloth masks for neurofeedback sessions only, that will be used by one patient per day, and that we wash daily. All surfaces, door knobs, and neurofeedback equipment are sterilized before and after each client.
We are using disposable paper cloth covers for the neurofeedback chairs, and a tempered glass partition for credit card transactions. It would greatly help if you would submit your credit card information ahead of time so that your appointment can be processed without you having to touch the TD bank machine.
There is a hand sanitizer station in the main lobby by the elevators to use before coming into the office, and we will have some available to you in the office.
Please come alone for your appointment if possible, unless if another person is in the session with you such as for couple or family counselling, or if each person is having a neurofeedback session in two separate rooms. Also, please limit the number of items you will be bringing into the clinic such as shopping or food. We will not be providing water for now, so please bring your own bottle of water if you require it.
If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I look forward to continuing to support you towards living more optimally.
